Serving at FBC in Essex
Our goal is to help people identify their spiritual gifts and to find ways to use them in ministry. First Corinthians 12 paints an image of the parts of the body working together in harmony. Here are some ways you might plug in:
–Bell Choir: The hand-bell choir meets to practice each Sunday at 11:45 a.m. and plays at the church on a quarterly basis.
–The Joyful Noise: Do you play an instrument or like to sing? Join the Joyful Noise, a musical group that meets prior to the 10 a.m. worship service to rehearse. The Joyful Noise plays on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month. Instruments include guitar, piano and keyboard.
–Choir: Our traditional choir meets each Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to practice and sings each week during the service.
–Hospitality: Share your gift of hospitality by bringing snacks for us to share before, during and after worship. You and at least one other person will provide a variety of refreshments including food and juice. We’ll provide the coffee, tea, sugar, creamer and cups.
–Children and Youth: We are always looking for folks who enjoy working with children and youth to assist with our ongoing programs.
–Mission: Check out this page for our mission opportunities.
