Serving in the Community
Shoreline Soup Kitchen & Pantries – Monday Night Dinner
Each Monday night at 5:30 p.m., we host the local Monday night Shoreline Soup Kitchen & Pantries dinner at our church. We are always looking for new volunteers. Please contact Betsy Bochman at Bbbochman@sbcglobal.net if you are interested in volunteering your time. Volunteers are required to attend a one day training prior to serving.
Meat and Greet
In order to assist with the protein needs of families who use the Shoreline Soup Kitchen Food Pantries, our church has created a missional church freezer. We invite people to help with these needs by bringing a package of chicken, ground beef or some other meat to church on a Sunday morning and giving it to our Greeters.
Stuff a Truck
Several times of year, we stuff a truck at Stop and Shop in Old Saybrook full of food for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantry. Last time we collected over 2,200 lbs of food. Check out our “Upcoming Events” to see if there is a “Stuff a Truck” event happening soon.
Toy Drive
Each December, we gather gifts and organize a toy drive for those in need. We welcome extra hands in the distribution of the toys and additional donors of the toys themselves.
