The Connection

“For more than 40 years, The Connection has been one of Connecticut’s leading private, nonprofit human service and community development agencies. Each month thousands people throughout Connecticut are assisted by The Connection’s diverse behavioral health, family support and community justice programs. These programs reunite families, break the generational cycles of abuse and neglect, create safer, healthier communities and assist with mental illness and addiction issues.”

HOPE Partnership

HOPE Partnership is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing affordable workforce housing opportunities in Southern Middlesex County. HOPE was established in 2003 with the support of the United Way to address the shortage of affordable workforce housing in our area by finding housing solutions for low-income people who suffer disproportionately from the housing crisis. HOPE’s philosophy is to collaborate with town government, builders, and other private partners to build housing that is attractive, sustainable and appropriate to the surrounding neighborhood. It is these partnerships that form the dynamic that make this process successful.

Middlesex Habitat of Humanity

Middlesex Habitat for Humanity of Connecticut, Inc., (MHFH) is an Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Middlesex Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
