Centering Prayer: 4/8, 4/15, 4/22
Second and Fourth Saturdays, 10 a.m., Helen Henry Fellowship Hall
This Month: April 8th and 22nd
Holy Saturday Centering Prayer: April 15th
Join us for a time of prayer. Centering Prayer is a method of setting an intention to consent to God’s presence and action within. Briefly, it’s a method that allows one to “rest in God,” which, in turn, sparks an inner transformative process. Centering Prayer’s roots are in the 14th-century treatise, The Cloud of Unknowing; the method has been refined by a trio of monks, Thomas Keating, William Menninger and Basil Pennington, over the years. Most would say that the prayer is simple, but not always easy, but its fruits are many.
