Public Pot Luck Dinner & Conversation to Discuss Affordable Housing Needs in the Community

February 4th

Following FBC’s Community Potluck and Conversation on Housing this spring, community partners formed a Shoreline housing committee, which is now replicating our Potluck & Conversation model to discuss the need for affordable housing throughout the Shoreline.

The second official Shoreline Community Potluck and Conversation is this Thursday, February 4th, at 6 p.m. in Clinton in the Green Room at the Andrews Town Hall. Please spread the word and come participate in this event which aims to make housing a reality for all Shoreline residents.

Stuff-A-Truck – Super Bowl Edition!

February 6th

Whether you will be cheering for the Panthers, Broncos or just watching the Super Bowl for the advertisements, we invite you to kick-off Super Bowl weekend by joining us on Super Bowl Saturday to Stuff-a-Truck for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantries (SSKP)!

As we prepare to cheer on our teams (or lament the fact that our teams didn’t make it), we will be inviting people to donate items for local food pantries and then will be loading them into the SSKP truck.

We invite you to dress warm, wear a football jersey if you have one and join us in making our community a better place. Shifts for the Stuff-a-Truck – Super Bowl Edition are 10-12:30 & 12:30- 3 p.m. on February 6th at the Old Saybrook Stop and Shop.

Let Pastor Joy know if you are available to volunteer by phone at 860-581-0493 or email at RevJPerkett@gmail.com .
